Students will be learning about primary elections and doing a sample ballot during homeroom this week. Additionally, they will be working to improve their SAT scores by completing their individual growth plans through Khan Academy.
There is an eLearning day scheduled for tomorrow May 7th. Students should login to their Google Classrooms and answer the attendance questions. Teachers will be available for students via Google Meet from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
AP testing has officially began for our AP students. This may effect students dismissal time and/or their ACC transportation. The school will communicate any potential scheduling conflicts with parents as they arise. NWEA testing will take place for 9th graders next week during their English classes. For students who are enrolled in Biology, the Biology ILEARN is scheduled to be given next week during Biology class.
The final exam schedule for this year is attached to the email sent today. Students are expected to be at Whiting High School for all of their final exams. ACC students will be expected to communicate this schedule with the ACC prior to the week of final exams. Please contact the office if you have any questions or concerns about this schedule.
Assignment Recovery continues this week for students who are failing a course and miss an assignment in that class. Social Studies is on Monday with Mr. Belyayev. Tuesday is for English with Mr. Popiela. Thursday is electives with Ms. DeWald. Friday is Math with Mrs. Reese.
Congratulations to Lily Morando for winning Oiler of the Week last week. Teachers vote on Oiler of the Week by nominating students who exemplify our five core values (self-discipline, responsibility, self-advocacy, grit, and growth mindset).
